WAMDA awarded our 2024 scholarship during our annual program on June 11th. This year, our recipient was Bonney Couper-Kiablick. Bonney earned a B.S. and M.S. from Simmons University and completed the dietetic internship program at UMASS Amherst where they exhibited strong work ethic as well as an empathetic and personable nature.
As the scholarship committee reviewed applications they noted three things which stood out about this year’s recipient: They display a love of exploring cultures and incorporating foods from around the world; Their social views and quest to increase representation and equity in dietetics; and their support and commitment to our local community with work with WIC and Elder Services in Western, MA
